SRCCF Welcomes New Director of Operations

Starved Rock Country Community Foundation is honored and thrilled to announce that Janice Corrigan has been appointed to the position of Director of Operations.

Janice joined the foundation in early March in preparation for the retirement of our wonderful Cathy Rosen, who plans to remain with SRCCF as a Volunteer Coordinator. How did we get so lucky to retain Cathy and welcome Janice at the same time?

Janice was born and raised in Streator, Illinois. As the oldest of seven children, she credits strong family values to helping her achieve her goals. A 1980 Monmouth College graduate, she holds a BA in Education, and she received a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Illinois State University in 1995. Janice has over 30 years of experience in the field of education as a teacher and school administrator.

Janice has taken part and led fundraising efforts not only for the schools she served, but also as a busy and committed volunteer to the Streator’s Community Players Board; chair of the One Cent Sales Tax Campaign; chair of the Streator Reads Committee; member of the Zonta Club of Streator and the Zonta District 6 Board.

When asked to become a volunteer member of the newly formed Streator High School Educational Foundation in 2008, Janice gladly accepted and was anxious to learn

more about foundation’s work. In 2013, she became the school’s Community/Alumni Coordinator, assisting the foundation with its mission. In 2015, Janice accepted a position with the IVCC Foundation as its Foundation Assistant and Alumni Coordinator. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (ARP) and regularly participates in seminars and educational opportunities to enhance her knowledge of foundation work.

Janice brings a wealth of experience to her new position as the Director of Operations at SRCCF and will continue her passion for making a positive impact on the lives of all those living in Starved Rock Country.
