(Streator, IL) – The City of Streator is pleased to announce that Illinois American Water has generously donated $20,000 to the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation’s Streator Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund, providing additional support to residents and recovery efforts following the June 11, 2026, tornado.
The contribution was presented during a check presentation attended by Luke Esteppe, Director of Operations for the Eastern Division of Illinois American Water; Terry Ragusa, Senior Superintendent of the Streator Division for Illinois American Water; Pamela Beckett, Founder and Interim CEO of the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation; Derek Barichello, Executive Director of the Streator Chamber of Commerce; Streator Mayor Tara Bedei; City Manager Yates McLaughlin; and City staff.
“This generous donation reflects Illinois American Water’s commitment to the communities it serves,” said Mayor Tara Bedei “The support of partners like this and the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation helps ensure that our residents have the resources they need as Streator continues its recovery.” The City of Streator extends its sincere gratitude to Illinois American Water for its generosity and to the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation for administering the Disaster Relief and Recovery fund.
