- Every day, consider a donation. Proceeds will go toward making a positive impact on mental health resources. Grants are made to local mental health organizations AND the Molly Lenora Yacko Memorial Scholarship is awarded to assist college students pursuing a career in the mental health field.
Scholarship Criteria
- Resident of LaSalle County, Illinois
- Must be a student currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a four-year college or university degree program for the following academic year in pursuit of a degree in the mental health field of study.
- Has demonstrated the following attributes:
- Positive attitude; encourages others; charitable
- Hard working; compassionate; high moral character
- Role model to underclassman
Applicant must respond to essay questions addressing why he/she wants to work in the field of mental health, and what makes him/her a good “fit” for such a career? What are the current plans for employment and a dedicated career in mental health services?
Applicant must include two (2) letters of recommendation from current educators or employers who can attest to the applicant’s ability to succeed in a mental health career.
