The Mac-Aero Scholarship for Aeronautics and Aviation was established to provide funds for high school graduates of LaSalle, Bureau, Putnam or Livingston Counties pursuing a degree in the field of Aviation and/or Aeronautics.

Scholarship

The Mac-Aero Scholarship for Aeronautics and Aviation will award one (1) $10,000 scholarship to a student who a) resides in of LaSalle, Bureau, Putnam or Livingston Counties; b) is a current high-school senior or a recent graduate; and c) must be enrolled in an accredited, degree-granting college or university (minimum of 12 credit hours) for the following academic year in the field of Aviation and/or Aeronautics. 2024 Mac-Aero Scholarship for Aeronautics and Aviation recipient:

The Mac-Aero goes to Lily Ann Keutzer of Princeton. Lily Ann who received this award in 2023, is attending Indiana State University majoring in Professional Aviation Flight. Lily made note in her essay she lost her grandfather, who was a pilot himself, to Alzheimer’s. He was the inspiration and guiding force behind her decision to enter the aviation field. She is the daughter of Steven and Michelle Kuetzer.

2023 Mac-Aero Scholarship for Aeronautics and Aviation recipient:

We are pleased to award the 2023 Mac-Aero Scholarship for Aeronautics and Aviation to Lily Ann Keutzer of Princeton. Lily Ann will be attending Indiana State University and majoring in Professional Aviation Flight Technology. Lily stated in her essay that her grandfather, who was a pilot, was instrumental in her decision to pursue a career in the field of aviation. She is the daughter of Steven & Michelle Keutzer.

Ethel McConnell is lifting young people’s aspirations sky-high – and fully enjoying the euphoria giving brings. Ethel funds a pair of scholarships through the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation: The $10,000 Mac-Aero for Aeronautics and Aviation and the $5,000 Rising Star for elementary education students at Illinois State.
