Formerly known as the Spring Valley Boosters, Grow Spring Valley comprises a dynamic assembly of residents and entrepreneurs committed to maximizing the potential of the city’s 5,400-strong community. The organization is unwavering in its dedication to reinvigorating the downtown area, expanding economic horizons to encompass Interstate 80, and enriching overall quality of life.
Noteworthy contributions by Grow include support for Spring Valley parks, Cops4Cancer initiatives, the Spring Valley Police Department’s National Night Out, and Christmas4Kids festivities. Additionally, the group has made significant monetary contributions, such as a $2,500 donation towards the Spring Valley Community Center project and a $7,500 investment in a downtown music/speaker initiative.
Former Grow President JC Heerdt initiated contact with the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation after observing the foundation’s pivotal role in securing a $10,000 donation from the Matt Carroll family for Reimagine Mendota, which spearheads downtown revitalization endeavors following dual fires in 2022.
