In 2013 Danny married his wife, Rachel. They would go on to have a child together three years later named Sadie Elizabeth. Danny had many hobbies and interests, but he was most passionate about golf, hunting, spending time with his friends and family and giving back to the community he held so dear to his heart.
On October 11, 2016 Danny’s life was tragically taken when he collided with a semi truck head-on while driving to pick up lunch for his coworkers and himself. Danny’s passing rocked Princeton and the surrounding communities, but the outpouring of support has been nearly overwhelming and truly unbelievable. Family, friends and even strangers have rallied together to support Danny’s family in these devastatingly trying times.
Danny wasn’t one to shy away from lending a helping hand, either, and thats why the goal of the Danny Nelson Memorial Fund is to continue Danny’s spirit of caring, loving and giving back to his community. Danny’s huge heart will live on through the Danny Nelson Memorial Fund.
In honor of Danny and his giving spirit, his friends organized the Danny Nelson Memorial Golf Outing in 2017. All proceeds from this annual event are placed in the Danny Nelson Memorial Fund and contributed to charitable organizations to be used in the community that Danny was so fond of. The outings include a round of golf, dinner, and unique raffles every year! Your gift to the Danny Nelson Memorial Fund is most welcome.
