A letter from the 2025 Mac-Aero Scholarship Recipient, Lily Ann Keutzer:
“I want to thank Ethel and the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation for this scholarship and their reinvestment in my education and future.
Currently, I am participating in the Air Race Classic, an annual all female cross-country race, with two other female students from ISU. This year’s race starts in Fairhope, Alabama and finishes in Spokane, Washington.
After graduation, I plan to work as a flight instructor in the Illinois Valley area until I reach the required hours for the airlines.
I am also a part of the Republic Airways Cadet program, which is where I plan to start my flying career, with an end goal of flying for UPS or FedEx.
These past couple weeks have been full of growth, learning, and memorable experiences that would not have been possible without scholarships like this one.”
Sincerely,
Lily Keutzer
