Our sincere thanks to State Representative Murri Briel for the $5,000 funding award received in recognition of the SRCCF Arts of Starved Rock Country Fund. The award came to us in partnership with the Illinois Arts Council and will be used to increase our grant awards to local non-profit arts organizations, schools, museums and libraries throughout Starved Rock Country.
“A huge thanks to the Illinois Arts Council for making this funding possible and for their dedication to keeping arts alive across the state. I look forward to seeing how these grants benefit families whether by broadening music initiatives, modernizing local museums or opening new avenues for young ones to experience the rewards of creative community engagement.” said Briel. “I couldn’t be happier to see this funding land here at home.”
The SRCCF is honored to have been recognized as one of Representative Briel’s selected recipients. The Arts of Starved Rock Country Fund offers art grants in two cycles each year. The current cycle closes on September 15, 2026. More information can be found here, or by calling 815-252-2906.
