Saturday, April 4, 2020 will bring another exciting Voices in Harmony A Cappella Concert to the First Presbyterian Church in Ottawa. Tickets are $10, and the concert begins at 7pm.  More information will follow before March 1, 2020.

Saturday, December 16 was the inaugural concert performed by the new Voices in Harmony group, now boasting 25 members.  The evening was filled with sounds of the Christmas season with special guests performances as well.  Admission was free, and the audience had a great time with the sing-a-long. A free will donation opportunity was presented and $500 was raised to benefit the Salvation Army in Ottawa.  Donors were also generous in their support of a separate cause – to assist with the medical expenses of a local individual.

Thanks to all who attended the April 13, 2019 concert.  More than $5000 was raised to meet the goals of the organization!  A new VOICES IN HARMONY group has been started and is already practicing on Monday evenings at First Presbyterian Church in Ottawa.  If you can sing, and enjoy harmonizing, please join in! Contact Don Farmer at (815-795-7375 or Ralph Johnson at 828-273-5720 for more information.

Can’t sing well enough to join in?  Feel free to attend the concerts and/or make a donation.  Just click the link above!  All donations are greatly appreciated!

WHAT A GREAT A CAPELLA CONCERT!  Outstanding music, high energy, lots of humor and an all-round enjoyable evening! If you missed the April 13 concert, check back in the Fall of 2019 to learn about upcoming performances.

Voices in Harmony is dedicated to raising a new awareness for Barbershop singing throughout Starved Rock Country. The goal of the Fund is to:

  • raise enough money to create at least one new youth Barbershop group in the LaSalle County area;
  • to provide middle school and high school choral students the opportunity to learn the art of singing harmony; and
  • to provide financial support for education, training and continued performance opportunities for harmony groups throughout our region.
