HOW IS THE STARVED ROCK COUNTRY COMMUMITY FOUNDATION FUNDED?

The SRCCF has established an operational fund called the Leadership Fund for Now. That fund pays all of our operational expenses. We receive money into the Leadership Fund from unrestricted donations from donors who understand we have bills to pay like any other business.  We also put money into that fund from the interest we earn from investing all of the money together that comes into the Foundation.  Our investment  firm is the Hometown National Bank and Trust Company in LaSalle, Illinois.  The final way that we grown the Leadership Fund for Now is through an administrative fee that is assessed against all established funds. Currently, the fee is 2% across the board. For example, if you donate to a specific, established fund, your donation is combined with all of the others in that fund and invested by us. The Hometown National Bank credits interest to each fund monthly, and also assesses the fund 1/12 of 2% for the administrative fee. Dollars from both the interest earned and the administrative fee charged is transferred into the Leadership Fund for Now, so that we can operate the Foundation.

Please note that administrative fees vary from Foundation to Foundation. Some Foundations in our area charge up to 10% of the donation.  We reserve the right to adjust the administrative fee at any time and for any reason, although we anticipate that fees will remain the same or actually be reduced as our Leadership Fund for Now continues to grow.

 

WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT MAKING A DONATION OR THE AMOUNT? 

Donation Refund Policy

If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to SRCCF, we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 business days of your donation. To request a refund, call 815-252-2906. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment, except cash donations which will be returned via check. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.

 

HOW DO I KNOW MY PERSONAL AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION IS KEPT PRIVATE?

 Privacy Policy

SRCCF respects and protects your privacy. We will never sell or rent your personal information to other individuals or companies. When you make a donation, your name will be included in SRCCF annual reports and other publications. If you do not wish to share your name, or you choose to make your donation anonymously, SRCCF will not publish your name.

When you create an account with SRCCF, you will receive an acknowledgment of your donation for your records, and occasional email and postal delivery updates. If you do not wish to hear from us, kindly give us a call at 815-252-2906.

SRCCF goes to great lengths to protect the confidentiality and integrity of any personal information you share with us on the web. SRCCF treats personal data such as credit card and Social Security numbers as critical assets that must be guarded at all times against loss and unauthorized access, online and off-line. This is accomplished through industry-standard computer security methods, encryption techniques and strict internal administrative processes that limit the number of SRCCF employees who have access to personal information. Your unrestricted donation to the Leadership Fund for Now is just that, a gift for NOW. It enables us to operate, provides funds for immediate distribution to area agencies and charitable initiatives and helps us build the core administrative fund. The Leadership Fund for Now is made up of unrestricted donations, earnings on investments, and administrative fees. This is where we need your donation the most.
