The Starved Rock Country Community Foundation is one of 850 such foundations in the United States and 34 in the state of Illinois. Combined assets of Community Foundations in the US are over $85B. Until we opened our doors in October, 2015, the Starved Rock Country area, comprised of LaSalle, Bureau and Putnam Counties in Illinois, was one of the very few geographic areas in the state not represented by a community foundation. The SRCCF matches people who care with causes that matter to them. We make grants to our local nonprofit organizations, create and manage scholarships for local youth, and provide philanthropic leadership throughout Starved Rock Country.
Created by SRCCF to enable us to operate, The Leadership Fund for Now provides funds for immediate distribution to area agencies and charitable initiatives and helps us build the core administrative fund. The Leadership Fund for Now is created with unrestricted gifts, earnings on investments and administrative fees. For now, this is where we need your donation the most.
